What should I do if my honey turns solid?

There is nothing wrong with eating crystallized honey. In fact, many people prefer honey solid because it can be more spreadable! Turning solid honey back to a liquid is easy - heating will decrystallize honey to liquid again. Just keep the heat at or a little below 110 degrees fahrenheit (heating above 110 will pasteurize the honey, and it won’t be raw anymore).

If your honey is stored in a plastic container, simply fill a bowl with hot tap water, put the honey bottle into the water and wait. You might need to refill the hot water from the tap several times, but be patient and this will do the trick. If your honey is stored in glass or ceramic, it can decrystallize faster by heating the jar in a double boiler.
